Winning the OFC Pro League is the next big dream for Extra Bula FC midfielder Nabil Begg after a memorable 2026 season in which he won four titles with Ba and lifted the MSG Cup.

Begg says the year has been very good and productive for him, by the grace of the Almighty, with the MSG Cup victory standing out as one of the most special moments of his life.

He says lifting the MSG Cup was particularly meaningful as he grew up watching players lift the trophy in 2006 and 2007, dreaming of one day wearing the black jumper himself.

Begg says the victory was even more special after Ba faced the possibility of an early exit following two disappointing games.

He says the experience has taught him the importance of staying fit and injury-free, being available to play and adapting to high-intensity matches.

Begg says the experience has also improved his fitness, decision-making on the field, ability to identify spaces quickly and the way he looks after himself off the pitch.

Looking ahead, Begg says he wants to score more goals and will need to work harder on his finishing.

He is also urging supporters to turn out in numbers and back the team, saying the players will do their best to make them proud.

The Bula Warriors will begin their 2027 campaign in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea, where they take on Tahiti United on the 22nd of January.

They will then travel to Australia and New Zealand before returning to Fiji for its circuit in May, with matches scheduled at Govind Park in Ba, before the season concludes with the league finals in Honiara, Solomon Islands, in June.
