Water is finally on its way back to thousands of homes after repairs to the damaged Tamavua-i-Wai trunk main have been completed today.

The Water Authority of Fiji says repair works on the 375mm trunk main at Tamavua-i-Wai have been completed, and water supply is now being gradually restored to all affected areas, including the Lami corridor.

WAF says people may continue to experience low water pressure or intermittent water supply while the system stabilises and water levels return to normal.

WAF says water carting will continue in areas where it is still needed until the normal water supply is fully restored.

WAF has acknowledged all affected communities and residents for their patience and cooperation throughout the disruption.
