Warren Mave displayed incredible talent, precision, creativity and passion at the Australian Culinary Federation Restaurant Challenge, winning bronze in the Global Pastry Chef Challenge Pacific Rim Final.
Mave, who is from Manuku Village on Batiki Island, created a stunning Fijian bure, showcasing the flavours, creativity and spirit of his island home in Melbourne.

New Zealand’s Russell Le Comte won gold, while Australia’s Lei Shang claimed silver.

Mave, Maurisio and Masi competed in the Global Pastry Chef Challenge, while Ifraaz Hussein and Frances Wakeham from Sheraton Resort and Spa are competing in Team Challenge Category One.
Isireli Chong from Wyndham Resort and Filipe Miramira from Yasawa Island Resort are competing in Team Challenge Category Two.
