Some residents of Votualevu, Nadi, have been without water since Saturday night, with concerns growing over the prolonged disruption.
Savalau Road resident Raju Singh Desi says water cuts have occurred intermittently in his area, but the latest disruption has lasted longer than usual.
Desi says the situation is unusual, as residents have not experienced a water cut lasting this long before.
The Water Authority of Fiji says it has been gradually restoring the system since this morning and will continue work tonight.
WAF says it is filling the pipes and flushing the pipeline properly to prevent air voids, which could result in further burst mains.
Residents are waiting for water supply to be fully restored.
