US President Donald Trump says US Marines have intercepted and seized an Iranian-flagged cargo ship attempting to get past the US blockade.
The ship was given "fair warning to stop" in the Gulf of Oman and after refusing, the navy "stopped them right in their tracks by blowing a hole in the engine room."
Trump says the ship is in US "custody".
Earlier, Trump said his representatives would be in Pakistan today for talks about the Iran war.
Iran's state media, however, say reports about fresh talks with the US in Pakistan are "not true", although Iran’s position has not been officially clarified.
A White House official told the BBC that the US delegation will be led by Vice-President JD Vance.
Trump threatens to strike Iranian power plants and bridges if a deal is not reached.
Shots fired at vessels in the Strait of Hormuz on Saturday are a violation of the ceasefire agreement, and the US President says Iran has also accused the US of breaching the truce by blockading its ports.
