The top eight teams that will compete in this year's Extra Battle of the Giants have been confirmed following the latest round of the Extra Premier League.
Extra Supermarket Labasa FC continues to lead the league standings on 28 points, holding a slim one-point lead over Dayal's Sawmillers Ba FC, which is on 27 points, while Stratum Rewa FC remains well within striking distance in third place with 25 points.
Labasa, Ba, Rewa, Lautoka, Navua, Suva, Nadi and Nasinu have secured their position in the BOG tournament.
Nadi FC has bounced back strongly after missing out on the BiC Fiji FACT earlier this season and has now booked its place in the BOG.
Meanwhile, Nadroga FC and Tailevu/Naitasiri FC have missed out after finishing outside the top eight and will not feature in the tournament.
The Battle of the Giants pool matches will be held from 4th to 6th September, with the semi-finals and final taking place the following week at 4R Stadium, Govind Park.
With only a few rounds remaining, the battle for league honours is intensifying, with teams also looking to build momentum heading into one of Fiji's most prestigious football tournaments.
