Tailevu North College ready to make its mark at Coca-Cola Games

Tailevu North College ready to make its mark at Coca-Cola Games

With the 2026 Coca-Cola Games drawing closer, Tailevu North College has stepped up preparations, as their athletes enter the final stage of training.

Athletics Team Management says preparations began before the Interhouse competition and training has remained consistent under the guidance of the coaches.

According to the management, the athletes have continued to show commitment, discipline and strong team spirit as they prepare for the three day competition at the HFC Bank Stadium.

A dedication service will be held tomorrow before the team departs for the Games.

The school says while preparations have gone well, the team has faced challenges, including limited resources and the need for greater support in nutrition, equipment and transport for training.

Despite this, the school says the athletes remain focused and motivated.

Fundraising activities are also underway, with the school seeking support from sponsors and well-wishers to help assist the team.

A total of 12 athletes will represent Tailevu North College this year.

The school heads into the Coca-Cola Games with confidence after a strong showing at the recent Tailevu Zone competition, where they won 17 gold medals.

Tailevu North College won a silver medal last year in the girls' division.

The school says it is aiming to improve its overall performance this year and proudly represent the Tailevu side on the biggest secondary schools athletics stage in Fiji.

The Coca Cola Games will be held from tomorrow to Saturday at the HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
