Tahiti United and PNG Hekari have both been eliminated from the OFC Pro League Challengers Group play-off race following a dramatic 2-all draw.

With both sides needing a win to keep their semi-final hopes alive, the result means neither team can catch the group leaders and both are now out of contention for the last four.

Kasum Gabriel and Lekima Gonerau scored for PNG Hekari, while Tevita Waranaivalu and Joseph Athale found the net for Tahiti United.

The final matches of the Challengers Group will take place on Wednesday, with PNG Hekari taking on Solomon Kings FC at 3pm at the GO Media Stadium, while current table leaders Vanuatu FC face Tahiti United at 7pm.

Meanwhile, the final matches of the Leaders Group will see South Melbourne face Extra Bula FC on Tuesday at 3pm as they look to finish top of the group, while South Island United will take on Auckland FC at 7pm. Both matches will be played at Eden Park.

The winner of the Challengers Group will take on the fourth-placed team in the Leaders Group to qualify for the semi-finals, which will be held on 20th May at Go Media Stadium, while the final will be played on 24th May at Eden Park.

The OFC Pro League will also determine who represents Oceania at the annual FIFA Intercontinental Cup and the quadrennial FIFA Club World Cup.
