Sub-Junior 400 metres heats set the tempo at Coca Cola Games

Marist Brothers High School led the Sub-Junior boys’ 400 metres heats with a dominant performance, securing victories in two heats as the event kicks off during the 2026 Coca Cola Games.

Ponijese Bainimoli and Sakaraia Raiqavi stood out, each winning their races while also recording the fastest times.

International School Suva showed equal strength in the Sub-Junior girls’ 400 metres heats, claiming wins in two of the four races.

Paulini Cadet took out heat two, while Amelia Singh triumphed in heat four.

The 400 metres heats for all divisions is currently underway, with the 100 metres heats to start at 12.15pm, then the 4x400 metres relay at 2.20pm.

The 1,500 metres finals will start at 5.15pm today while the 100 metres finals are scheduled for 6.10pm this evening.
