Style Fiji organisers are aiming to double the funds raised for charity this year as they prepare to launch the 2026 edition of Fiji's largest charity fashion and entertainment event.
Speaking ahead of the Style Fiji 2026 launch, which will take place this evening at the Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort in Denarau, Nadi, committee member Samson Lee highlighted that the event will provide sponsors and supporters with greater transparency on how funds are used while unveiling this year's theme and charity beneficiaries.
Style Fiji is an annual charity fashion and entertainment event that raises funds for local health and community organisations, including the Fiji Cancer Society and the Spinal Injury Association of Fiji.
Lee says the launch has been organised primarily for sponsors, major supporters and long-time guests, with around 100 to 130 people expected to attend.
He says the evening will provide a breakdown of how last year's funds were spent, introduce the committee's chosen charities for 2026, and allow guests to pre-purchase tables and tickets for the main event.
Lee says this year's launch marks a new direction for Style Fiji, as last year's gathering focused mainly on the transition following the handover of the event.
He says the charity event is now in its 15th year and has continued to be held at the Sheraton Fiji Golf & Beach Resort after moving from Sofitel Fiji Resort & Spa to provide more space and improved parking for guests.
He says although Style Fiji is known for its glamorous fashion showcase, its heart has always been charity.
Lee says last year's event raised $50,000, and the committee's goal this year is to double that amount.
He says launching the campaign earlier will help build excitement, strengthen support and give sponsors more time to get involved.
Lee adds that tonight's event will also provide an opportunity for sponsors, business leaders, tourism industry representatives and influencers to network while learning more about the committee's plans for the 2026 event.
