Strong wind and heavy rain warnings cancelled, flash flood alert remains

The strong wind and heavy rain warnings for parts of the country have been cancelled, while a flash flood alert remains in force across Fiji.

The Nadi Weather Office confirms the cancellation of the heavy rain warning for Viti Levu, the Mamanuca Group, Beqa, Vatulele, Kadavu, and the southern Lau group.

Meanwhile, the heavy rain warning for the Northern Division, Yasawa Group, northern Lau, and Lomaiviti Group has been downgraded to a heavy rain alert.

The Weather Office says Tropical Depression TD03F is currently located to the northeast of Yasawa-i-Rara and is gradually passing just north of Fiji.

The associated trough is expected to continue bringing rain across the country until Friday.
