Strong start not enough as Drua look for consistency

Strong start not enough as Drua look for consistency

It all comes down to consistency. Yesterday, the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua started well, building points, before slacking off.

Fijian Drua co-captain, Temo Mayanavanua, highlighted this in their post-game press conference, following their 42-22 loss, saying they cannot afford to do that against a quality side like the Chiefs.

In a preview of this week's game against the Highlanders, Mayanavanua says they always have a lot of energy as they will have the home-ground advantage.

Coach Glen Jackson had stated earlier that there is still a chance for the Drua to make the quarterfinals, and that is for them to win 5 out of their last 7 games. They have already won two.

The Drua are calling on all their fans to come and support them on Saturday

The Fijian Drua will play the Highlanders at 4pm Saturday at 4R Stadium, Govind Park, Ba.

In other games, the Hurricanes will meet the Crusaders at 7.05pm Friday, the Waratahs will host the Force at 9.35pm.

On Saturday, Moana Pasifika will face the Blues at 7.05pm, while the Reds play the Brumbies at 9.35pm.
