About 100 children in Taveuni will soon have access to a new early childhood education centre, with construction of four new classrooms nearing completion.

Built by St Mary's Coptic Orthodox Church, the new classrooms will provide young children with a modern, fully air-conditioned learning environment as they begin their education.

Employment Minister Agni Deo Singh says investing in early childhood education is an investment in Fiji's future.

He says the new classrooms will provide a safe and supportive environment where children can learn, grow and prepare for school.

Singh also highlighted the Government's ongoing support for education through a range of assistance programmes for students and families.

He thanked St Mary's Coptic Orthodox Church, Shane Construction and the community for helping make the project possible, saying the new centre will benefit children and families in Taveuni for years to come.
