Springboks halfback Cobus Reinach says South Africa must find a way to deal with New Zealand’s pressure at the breakdown and produce quicker ball if they are to win the second Test in Cape Town.
The All Blacks beat the Springboks 33-16 in the opening Test in Johannesburg, moving to the top of the World Rugby rankings.
South Africa had several chances inside the New Zealand 22 but managed only one try as handling errors and strong defence from the All Blacks kept the hosts under pressure.
The Springboks were also reduced to 13 men late in the match after Reinach and another player were sent to the sin-bin.
Reinach says New Zealand’s pressure forced South Africa into mistakes.
He says the Springboks must learn from the defeat and find better ways to handle the All Blacks’ defence.
All Blacks will face South Africa this Sunday at 3am in Cape Town.
