The announcement of the members of the Constitution Review Committee and the planned swearing-in ceremony at State House this morning has been postponed to a later date.

Some people who were invited contacted fijivillage News, saying they were told that 'something had come up' and the swearing-in ceremony will be held on a later date.

We have received information that the Constitution Review Committee members are lawyer Sevuloni Valenitabua who will be the Chairman, Fiji National University Vice Chancellor Unaisi Nabobo-Baba, consultant and former Miss Fiji and Miss South Pacific Mere Nailatikau, lawyer Ami Kohli, Professor Wadan Narsey, Dr John Fatiaki and business executive and former Fiji Rugby Union Chairman Conway Begg.

We have asked the Prime Minister on why the swearing in ceremony of the Constitution Review Committee members was cancelled today.

We have also asked whether the proposed changes will be ready in time for a referendum before or during the next general elections.

He is yet to respond.
