Senikuba elected President of People’s Alliance Women’s Wing

Bulou Elenoa Senikuba, a representative from the Western Division has been appointed as the President of the People’s Alliance Party Women’s Wing for the next five years.


General Secretary Sila Balawa says two women submitted their names for the presidential position, and Senikuba received the majority of the votes.

Balawa says Jokapeci Peau Macanawai, the second candidate, has been appointed as Vice President.


He says the treasurer and secretary positions were unopposed.

Mere Vodonaivalu remains the treasurer, while Walili Qiokata remains the secretary of the Women’s Wing.


He also stated that today’s Special General Meeting had a good turnout of women from all divisions, including Vanua Levu, Kadavu, Lomaiviti, the Central Division, and the Western Division.


Meanwhile, Minister for Fisheries and Forestry Alitia Bainivalu was also part of the meeting.
