Major upgrades have begun at the Rewa Football Club’s Saraswati Manoca Ground, with ground-breaking works completed last week.

Fiji Football Association says the development reflects the club’s commitment to improving football infrastructure in the delta and supporting player development at all levels.

They add plans include the construction of a new clubhouse, improved player facilities and dedicated spaces for senior men’s and women’s teams, youth squads and the Red KajiKaji program.

The project will also see the installation of playable floodlights, allowing the ground to host Rewa Regional League matches and other competitions at night.

Club President Nazeel Buksh says the upgrade is about building a strong foundation for the future.

He says the aim is to create a true home for Rewa Football by providing the best possible environment for players to grow and succeed.

Buksh adds the club is targeting to complete the upgrades before mid-year so teams and supporters can benefit as soon as possible.

He also says the project is an investment in the future of the club and is calling on supporters and stakeholders to assist in building a lasting legacy for football in Rewa.
