Religious statues have been damaged in an act of sacrilege during a break-in at the Gopal Sadhu Hanuman Gadhi Mandir in Nakasi.
Temple Treasurer Ashish Prasad told fijivillage News that the incident occurred between 1am and 2am.
A video sent to fijivillage shows items inside the temple scattered in search for valuables and cash.
Prasad is calling for strict action against those responsible.
The matter has been reported to Police, who have visited the scene.
