Suliasi Vunivalu, Moses Sorovi and Filipo Daugunu featured for the Queensland Reds as they edged the Melbourne Rebels 23-21 in Super Rugby Australia last night.

Hooker Joshua Alekisio Mafi scored twice for the Reds while other points came from James O'Connor's boot.

Vunivalu came off the bench late in the game and almost made an instant impact.

The former Melbourne Storm winger chased a kick and almost got a hand on it before Joe Powell's boot narrowly beat him to it.

Matt Toomua and Reece Hodge kicked seven penalties for the Rebels.

Today, the Brumbies will take on the Waratahs at 8.45 tonight.
