Rabuka responds to Narube’s claims of weak leadership in Fiji

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka has responded to comments made by Unity Fiji Party Leader Savenaca Narube regarding leadership and military participation in politics.

Responding to questions from the media on Narube's remarks made in New Zealand that Fiji’s problems are not financial but are due to weak leadership, Rabuka says he does not understand what Narube means by weak leadership.

On Narube’s comments calling for people with military backgrounds not to participate in elections, Rabuka says Narube must understand people's rights as far as democracy is concerned.
