The Maroons squad entered camp in Brisbane today.
New faces in the squad include Jojo Fifita, Sam Walker, Max Plath, and Briton Nikora, who have all been selected for their State of Origin debuts.
Fourteen players from last year’s series have retained their places, while Dolphins pair Selwyn Cobbo and Thomas Flegler return to Origin football following strong performances during the opening rounds of the NRL season.
Meanwhile, NRL's most exciting player, Reece Walsh, has been left out.
Walsh was forced off for a head injury assessment on Sunday in the 63rd minute after a collision with Warriors prop Mitch Barnett.
The squad will again be coached by Billy Slater.
State of Origin Game 1 will be held next Wednesday at Accor Stadium.
Queensland Maroons squad for Game I includes Kalyn Ponga, Selwyn Cobbo, Robert Toia, Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Jojo Fifita, Cameron Munster, Sam Walker, Thomas Flegler, Harry Grant, Tino Fa'asuamaleaui, Reuben Cottter, Kurt Capewell, Max Plath, Briton Nikora, Lindsay Collins, Patrick Carrigan, Trent Loiero, Ezra Mam, Gehamat Shibasaki, and Kulikefu Finefeuiaki.
