The proposed ban on social media for children aged 16 and under marks an important step in protecting our children and promoting the responsible use of social media.
Minister for Information, Environment and Climate Change Lynda Tabuya shared this with the children at Villa Four Settlement, Nasinu.
Tabuya says the views gathered from the forum will contribute to a report being prepared by the task force, chaired by her ministry together with the Ministry of Communications.

The Minister says the report will then be presented to Cabinet, along with draft legislation proposing a ban on social media access for children aged 16 and under.
