Amelia Dio says if someone is caught with drugs, prison is there to set them straight.

Dio shared her views during the consultation on the proposed Counter Narcotics Bill held in Nabouwalu, in Vanua Levu.

She says the session provides an important opportunity for people to express their opinions.

The resident also highlighted that individuals and communities must participate in such consultations to provide their input.

Meanwhile, Police Inspector Jemesa Lave encouraged members of the public to speak openly and share their views on the proposed Counter Narcotics Bill, which seeks to establish and empower a Counter Narcotics Bureau.

The team was pleased with the high turnout at the consultation.

The consultation will be at Nayaroyaro Village, Visoqo Village and Nubu Village in Macuata tomorrow.
