Police seek public’s help to identify woman found dead in Wainibuku creek

Police are seeking the public’s assistance to identify a woman whose body was found floating in a creek near a residence in Naidiridiri in Wainibuku.

Police say the victim is believed to be an iTaukei woman aged between 30 and 40 years.

Crime Scene Investigation officers have conveyed the victim’s body to the Mokani Morgue, where a postmortem examination will be conducted to confirm the cause of death.

Investigations are continuing.

Anyone with information is requested to call Crimestoppers on 919.

Meanwhile, when fijivillage News visited the scene said that it appears the body had been there for several days.
