Melbourne Cup favourite Point of Law, formerly owned by King Charles, has won the 2026 Melbourne Cup, taking home AUD$10.2 million in prize money.
The British horse was ridden by Ethan Brown.
Zahrann has finished second and Juja Kibo third.
Sons And Lovers was fourth.
Winning jockey, Brown says it is every jockey's dream to do this, as he cannot still believe the win.
Trainer Ciaron Maher started seven of the 23 runners and he has trained the Melbourne Cup trifecta with Point of Law, Zahrann, and Juja Kibo
Royal Supremacy who had led for most of the race was pipped by Point Of Law at the tape.
