Plea adjourned for man charged over alleged RFMF break-in attempt

A man charged with attempted aggravated burglary at the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) Ammunition Magazine has had his plea hearing adjourned in the Suva High Court.

Isaia Ledua is facing one count of attempted aggravated burglary and one count of damaging property.

It is alleged that between 8th and 9th April, Ledua attempted to break into the RFMF Ammunition Magazine building in Nabua and damaged the door lock keypad during the same period.

The matter was called for plea; however, the defence informed the court that it was not ready to enter a plea.

The defence also told the court that it would be making legal representations to the State, claiming the charge was defective.

The matter has been adjourned to 23rd July for plea.

Ledua's bail has been extended.
