The Junior Bula Boys face a crucial final pool match against Tahiti tomorrow as they push for a place in the semi-finals of the OFC U-19 Men’s Championship.

Midfielder Maikah Dau says the team will learn from its mistakes against New Zealand and come back stronger for the Tahiti match.

The U-19 team went down 2-nil to New Zealand in their second pool match.

Dau says there is a lot to learn from the New Zealand match, particularly after the Junior Bula Boys held their opponents scoreless in the first half.

He says the team lacked some adaptation and focus after the break but will learn from its mistakes ahead of the Tahiti match.

He says the players will follow the coach’s instructions as they prepare for their final group match.

Meanwhile, defender Farhaan Khan says although the result against New Zealand did not go their way, the team now knows what it needs to improve.

Khan says the team will work on its weaknesses before coming back stronger against Tahiti.

He says he is proud of the players for their effort and the way they supported each other throughout the match.

Both players have thanked supporters, fans and parents for their continued support and prayers.

Fiji will face Tahiti in their final pool match tomorrow at 10am at the Samoa Football HQ in Apia, while New Zealand, who have already booked a place in the semi-finals, will face Vanuatu at 2pm.
