ODPP confirms Bainimarama, Sayed-Khaiyum and Qiliho 2023 alleged sedition file under review

The Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions has today confirmed that Police have returned the file of former Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama, former Attorney General Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum and former Police Commissioner Sitiveni Qiliho's file for alleged sedition on 7th January 2026 for further analysis and advice on the matter.

They confirm that the file is currently under review according to the standard ODPP procedures.

This file relates to Bainimarama, Sayed-Khaiyum and Qiliho allegedly involved in seditious activities after the 2022 general elections.
