National Voter Registration continues, earliest date for Writ of Elections is June 24th

Take advantage of the national voter registration currently underway.

That is the message from Supervisor of Elections, Ana Mataiciwa as we get closer to the next electoral cycle.

Mataiciwa says the earliest date for the Writ of Elections to be issued by the President is the 24th of this month and the last possible date is the 24th of December.

The next general elections can be held on any date between 7th August 2026 to 6th February 2027.

She says when the writ is issued, voter registration will close, and Fijians should not leave things to the last minute.

Mataiciwa says the total number of registered voters as at 31st December 2025 is over 707,000.

She says 47,567 Fijians have registered as at the end of last month.
