Muslims across Fiji and around the world are celebrating Eid-ul-Adha, one of the most significant occasions in Islam, with prayers, reflection, sacrifice and acts of kindness.
In its Eid-ul-Adha message, the Fiji Muslim League says the occasion is a profound reminder of faith, sacrifice, sincerity and obedience to Allah.
The Muslim League says Eid-ul-Adha commemorates the devotion of Prophet Ibrahim, who was willing to sacrifice what was most beloved to him purely for the pleasure of Allah.
According to the message, the celebration teaches that true sacrifice is not only about the act of Qurbani, but also about submitting hearts, desires and lives to Allah with sincerity and humility.
National President Haji Basheer Ahmed extended warm Eid-ul-Adha wishes to the Muslim community across Fiji and around the world, praying for peace, forgiveness and blessings for all.
