A family of 13 in the flood-affected area of Mullau, Rakiraki is urgently seeking assistance after being cut off from essential supplies for the past two days due to severe flooding.

Nafiza Jahan, a resident of Mullau, says continuous heavy rain has left families stranded and unable to travel to town.

Jahan says with no available transport and bus services suspended they have been unable to purchase groceries and other basic necessities.

The situation is especially critical for Jahan’s household, which includes six children and a three-month-old baby.

She adds that the family is in urgent need of food supplies and baby formula (SMA), as access to shops in town, approximately 30 to 40 minutes away, remains impossible due to flooded roads and worsening weather conditions.

Jahan expresses concern that the flooding is continuing and that the weather appears to be deteriorating day by day.

Although the family has relatives in the city, she explains that travel restrictions and unsafe road conditions have prevented them from receiving support.

As floodwaters persist, affected families in Mullau are calling for urgent assistance to ensure access to food, baby supplies, and other essential items.

Anyone willing to assist the family can contact them on 9543243.
