Moti Street pharmacy robbers sentenced to 7 years

Harry Smith Draunidalo and Jese Vuniasi Manakilagi have been sentenced to seven years in prison, with a non-parole period of five years, for an aggravated robbery at Moti Street Pharmacy in Suva on August 29th, 2025.

Draunidalo and Manakilagi had pleaded guilty to the offence.

The two men were armed with an empty wine bottle and a knife when they robbed two men at the pharmacy.

While delivering the judgement, Suva Magistrate Yogesh Prasad said the incident caused psychological trauma to the staff.

Magistrate Prasad says offences committed at night create fear among businesses, especially essential services such as pharmacies.
