Mitchell Moses landed a stunning golden-point field goal to hand the Parramatta Eels a thrilling 33-30 win over North Queensland.

The Eels trailed by eight with six minutes to play before two tries in the space of three minutes levelled the scores and set up an intense finish.

Cowboys five-eighth Jake Clifford came close to ending the game, but his field goal attempt was deflected ever so slightly by Junior Paulo. The touch was enough to see the ball hit the post rather than sail between the sticks.

Parramatta needed only one chance to strike in golden point, with Ronald Volkman putting the visitors on the attack before Moses landed the field goal from 30 metres out.

The halfback was collected by Scott Drinkwater as he kicked the ball, with the Eels receiving a penalty and taking the two points to secure a thrilling 33-30 victory.

The chaotic scenes in Townsville came after James Tedesco led the Roosters to a 28-12 victory over the Titans.

The fullback did his NSW State of Origin chances no harm with a performance featuring two tries, 325 running metres, a try assist, and a line break.

Gold Coast fought valiantly and led after 30 minutes but ultimately could not hang with their opponents in the second half.

Today, the Dragons will take on the Knights at 5pm, followed by the Rabbitohs meeting the Sharks at 7.30pm, and then the Sea Eagles will face the Broncos at 9.35pm.
