Morocco has booked their place in the FIFA World Cup Round of 16 after defeating the Netherlands 3-2 in a penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw in their Round of 32 clash.

Both teams were locked 0-0 at halftime.

The Netherlands looked set to book their place in the Round of 16 after Cody Gakpo broke the deadlock in the 72nd minute, with the goal set up by Crysencio Summerville.

However, Morocco struck deep into added time when Ilias Diop found the equaliser in the 91st minute after an assist from Chemsdine Talbi, stunning the Dutch and forcing the match beyond regulation time.
