Mohamed Salah may have played his final match for Liverpool after suffering a hamstring injury during their 3-1 win over Crystal Palace at Anfield.

The 33-year-old was substituted in the 59th minute after going down holding his left leg.

Liverpool manager Arne Slot says it is too early to know how serious the injury is, but admitted the thought of it possibly being Salah’s final game for the club may have crossed the star forward’s mind.

Slot says they are hopeful Salah will play again, but tests will determine the extent of the injury.

Since joining Liverpool in 2017, Salah has enjoyed an iconic career, winning two Premier League titles, the Champions League, FIFA Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup, two EFL Cups and the Community Shield.

He has also scored 257 goals in 435 appearances, making him Liverpool’s third-highest goalscorer of all time.

If ruled out, Salah could miss Liverpool’s clash against rivals Manchester United next Sunday — a team he has scored 16 goals against in 18 appearances.
