France captain Kylian Mbappe has been ruled out of the remainder of the UEFA Nations League international window after suffering a knee injury while scoring the winning goal against Turkey.
The Real Madrid striker scored his record-extending 67th international goal from Michael Olise's pass to secure a 1-0 Nations League victory over Turkey.
However, Mbappe was seen limping immediately after scoring and was substituted five minutes later.
France coach Zinedine Zidane says Mbappe has swelling in his knee and they will not take any risks with the striker.
He says the injury does not look encouraging and Mbappe is expected to return to his club.
Turkey finished the match with 10 players after goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir was sent off late for handling the ball outside the penalty area.
The victory marked a winning start for Zidane, who replaced Didier Deschamps following the World Cup this summer.
It is Zidane's first senior managerial role outside Real Madrid, where he won three UEFA Champions League titles and two La Liga titles across two spells between 2016 and 2021.
