Saimoni Rokotunidau, who is charged with the attempted murder of a female police officer at the Laqere checkpoint earlier this year, is still on the run.
State lawyer Hezekiah Nofaga informed Suva High Court Judge Justice Dane Tuiqereqere that Rokotunidau has sold his property.
The State has applied for Rokotunidau’s sureties to be summoned to court for explanation on Rokotunidau's failure to attend court.
The two sureties are now required to appear on the 25th of August.
Rokotunidau is charged with one count each of attempted murder, unlawful possession of illicit drugs, going equipped, serious assault, and refusing to have his fingerprints and photographs taken.
