Apisai Madigibuli has been found guilty of one count of murder and the sentence hearing will be on the 16th of this month.

Madigibuli murdered his pregnant wife, Kitiana Baravilala, in an apartment in Suva on the 25th of April 2024.

While delivering the judgement, Suva High Court Judge Justice Dane Tuiqereqere said that during a caution interview, Madigibuli admitted that his plan was to kill her.

The court heard that Madigibuli stabbed Baravilala several times on the neck, resulting in severe blood loss and her death.
