Lautoka taxi driver raises safety concerns amid rise in attacks

A taxi driver from Lautoka has raised safety concerns, claiming taxi drivers are increasingly becoming targets of attacks.

Speaking to fijivillage News, the driver also highlights the growing number of incidents where passengers hire taxis and run away without paying their fares.

He says taxi drivers work hard to provide for their families and deserve to be treated with respect.

The driver says while police are doing their job, it is important for Public Service Vehicle drivers to remain alert at all times, saying the recent stabbing incidents have heightened safety concerns.
