Former Wallabies centre Samu Kerevi has maintained his red-hot form to start the Japan Rugby League One season for Urayasu D-Rocks.

Kerevi scored the opener with a runaway intercept try in the 13th minute, adding nine tackle busts and two line breaks as the D-Rocks held on for a 28-22 win over the Yokohama Canon Eagles.

The standout performance sees the centre top the charts for metres (382), second for tackle busts (32), and third for offloads (eight).

Bernard Foley remains top of the point-scoring table with 68 after his 11-point haul helped Kubota Spears to a 45-21 victory over Mie Honda Heat.

This included a try in the 10th minute, keeping them unbeaten after four matches alongside Marika Koroibete's Saitama Wild Knights.

Koroibete set up a pair of try assists and led the team in their 37-22 win over Shizuoka BlueRevs.

In Europe, Wallabies backrower Langi Gleeson made a successful return from injury for Montpellier in their thrilling Challenge Cup win over Connacht.

The former Waratah last featured in the historic Ellis Park comeback win over the Springboks in August.

Gleeson delivered a busy 25-minute shift with seven carries, but it was another Aussie who proved the match-winner as former Force back-rower Alex Masibaka secured the game-winning turnover in the 33-31 win.
