Kamikamica backs PM, says Cabinet and PAP fully support Rabuka

Former Deputy Prime Minister and People’s Alliance member Manoa Kamikamica has expressed his support for Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka despite Rabuka's announcement that he will consider stepping down should his appeal against the High Court decision fail.

The High Court has ruled that Malimali's dismissal as FICAC Commissioner by President Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu on Rabuka's advice was unlawful.

Speaking outside court following a hearing in the case where he is charged with perjury and giving false information to a public servant, Kamikamica says everybody in Cabinet and the party are in support of the Prime Minister, and certainly, he is as well.

He says at this stage, the Prime Minister has a lot of options in terms of the legal steps to take from now and he will announce that in due course.

The former Deputy Prime Minister says that he, his family, and his supporters are focused on addressing the issue before them.

He adds hopefully, as soon as it is sorted, they can get back to serving this beautiful country we all love.
