Kadavu Rugby Launches Sponsorship with AXELLERATE

There has been a 69 percent decline in cases involving young people and the cultivation of marijuana recorded by the Vunisea Police Station in 2024, following Kadavu’s participation in the Vanua Championship.

This was revealed to fijivillage News by Kadavu Rugby Union President and Minister for Environment, Lynda Tabuya, during their Sponsorship Launch with AXELLERATE today.

Tabuya says youths in the province are being encouraged to focus on more positive and productive activities.

She added that she has urged young people in Kadavu to take part in economic opportunities such as fishing, farming, and strengthening their Kadavu Rugby cooperative initiatives.

Tabuya says the drop in statistics shows the connection to the young people on the island and how they are moving away from illegal activities to rugby.

The Rugby Union President says the reason they are establishing a cooperative is for young people of the province to become shareholders in it, and they will continue to farm and fish to help grow their. cooperative.

She is calling on supporters from all over the world and Fiji to help transform the image of Kadavu to the world and help build the lives of young people for the betterment of all.
