Defending champions Extra Supermarket Labasa continued their impressive start to the Extra Battle of the Giants 2026 after securing a narrow 1-0 victory over Nasinu at 4R Stadium in Govind Park, Ba.
Midfielder Joe, who is originally from Papua New Guinea, was the difference between the two sides.
A goal by Nasinu was disallowed.
Labasa have now also secured three points in their Pool A campaign.
The victory keeps Labasa’s strong campaign on track as they look to defend their BOG title.
Labasa coach Alvin Chand says they are here to defend the title, but the journey will not be an easy one for the team.
Chand says the experienced players are guiding and developing the younger players, which is working really well for the team.
In an earlier match, Global Care Suva came from behind to beat Blue Gas Navua 3-1, with striker Gagame Feni scoring a hat-trick.
Stratum/PPCL Rewa is currently playing Khelvin Engineering Lautoka.
