Heavy Rain Alert remains in force for Fiji
A Heavy Rain Alert remains in force for the whole of Fiji, but conditions are expected to gradually improve from later tonight.

The Nadi Weather Office says a trough of low pressure, with associated cloud and rain, will continue to affect the country until tomorrow.

There may be occasional rain, heavy at times, and isolated thunderstorms over most areas, however, rain is expected to ease to showers later tonight.

People can expect flash flooding in flood-prone low-lying informal settlements and communities, as well as businesses and Irish crossings, leading to traffic disruptions.

There may also be surface flooding on streets in urban areas with poor drainage.
