Harry Kane has been crowned the Men's Ballon d'Or winner, capping off a remarkable year for the England and Bayern Munich striker and becoming the first Englishman in 25 years to win the prestigious award.
Speaking after receiving the award, Kane said he was almost speechless and thanked everyone who voted for him, acknowledging that the competition had been tough this year.
He also congratulated the other winners and nominees, saying their achievements showed what determination and hard work can accomplish.
Kane scored 73 goals across club and international competitions during the season, establishing himself as one of the most prolific goalscorers in world football.
The Bayern Munich striker has also scored 156 goals in 158 appearances for the German club since joining in 2023, taking him to seventh on Bayern Munich's all-time goalscoring list.
He has topped the Bundesliga scoring charts for three consecutive seasons and finished as Europe's leading overall club goalscorer for the 2025-26 season.
He also captained England to their best World Cup finish since winning the tournament in 1966, with the team claiming the bronze medal after winning the third-place play-off.
In addition to the Ballon d'Or, Kane won the Men's Striker of the Year award following his prolific season.
He expressed his gratitude to the Ballon d'Or organisers and France Football after receiving the award, describing the previous season as the best of his career.
He said he was extremely proud of what he had achieved, adding that his goal-scoring record was the result of a collective team effort.
Kane also acknowledged the support of his teammates, saying they helped keep him humble and grounded throughout his success.
He paid special tribute to his wife, Kate, saying they were on the journey together and that his achievements would not have been possible without her support.
