PC: Lautoka City Council

Green Waste Only collection has begun in the Simla and Waiyavi wards as the Lautoka City Council moves to clear debris following Cyclone TC Vaianu.

The Council says depot and cleanup teams are on the ground, working to collect and clear green waste such as fallen branches, leaves and other vegetation debris following the recent adverse weather conditions.

It says the initiative aims to restore cleanliness and safety in affected communities, reduce potential health and environmental risks, and ensure efficient and timely waste removal across the city.

The Lautoka City Council is urging residents in designated areas to place only green waste neatly by the roadside to assist teams in carrying out the collection smoothly and efficiently.
