7 people are admitted with serious burns after a gas cylinder explosion at Zamzam Restaurant in Samabula.
The 7 victims have scald burns.
fijivillage News has received confirmation that CWM Hospital has activated a Level 1 response.
5 people are currently in serious condition with 2 of them already intubated.
Speaking to fijivillage News, Zamzam Restaurant Customer Service representative, Dileleah Grace says four of their staff and three staff of Blue Gas suffered serious burns and have been taken to the CWM Hospital for medical assistance.
The Police and National Fire Authority are at the scene.
The Employment Ministry has also deployed the OHS team to the scene.
