The FIJI Water Flying Fijians will head into their match this Sunday expecting a tough challenge from England, who boast a formidable record against Fiji with 10 wins from their 11 meetings.

However, Fiji claimed a historic maiden victory over England in 2023 with a memorable 30-22 win at Twickenham and will be determined to repeat that feat.

The squad has set up camp in Liverpool ahead of their second July Test at Hill Dickinson Stadium, where they held their first training session today.

Training began with a gym session to shake off the effects of weekend travel and last week's match before shifting focus to England.

Although England will be the home side, the match is technically a Fiji home fixture under the July international schedule, which sees the Flying Fijians hosting their home Tests in the United Kingdom.

The Flying Fijians will be without the services of Semi Radradra and Tim Hoyt, who both sustained injuries during the opening Test against Wales, ruling them out for the remainder of the July campaign.

Head coach Senirusi Seruvakula acknowledged there are areas the team needs to improve following the 39-24 loss to Wales in Cardiff.

Seruvakula said the side was slow in certain areas of the game and will work on those aspects throughout the week as they prepare to face England.

He said the team also needs to be smarter in the way it plays its style of rugby and find the right balance heading into the next Test.

Fiji will take on England at 1.10am on Sunday.

In other international matches this weekend, New Zealand will face Italy at 5.05pm at Sky Stadium, Australia will host France at 7.40pm in Brisbane, and Ireland will take on Japan at 10.10pm.

On Sunday, South Africa will meet Scotland at 3.10am in Pretoria, while Wales will face Argentina at 7.10am in San Juan.
