FIJI Water Flying Fijians Coach Mick Byrne says he was really pleased with young props Atunaisa Sokobale and former England U20 Tim Hoyt's performance during their November Tour.

Byrne says they are quite inexperienced rugby players at that level but they handled themselves really well.

He says speaking to both of them after the game they were not surprised but very impressed with the pace and the intensity of the game and it is good that they have got a taste of that this year, which builds up for the Nations Championship next year.

The Flying Fijians coach says when Sokobale and Hoyt are at their clubs, they know the level of rugby they need to play at.

He says it was also good to look at a couple of other players in the squad because they had a couple of injuries and bringing Peter Gus Sowakula in was a good chance to have a look at him as well.
