People are urged to take all the necessary precautions as a flash flood warning remains in force for the whole of Viti Levu, while a flash flood alert is in force for the whole of Vanua Levu.

The Nadi Weather Office also confirms that a heavy rain warning remains in force for the whole of Fiji.

An active trough of low pressure, with associated active rain-bands and strong northwesterly winds, continues to affect the country.

Meanwhile, a flood warning remains in force for all low-lying flood-prone areas adjacent to and downstream of Nakauvadra River, including Rakiraki Town, Naseyani at Yaqara River, Tavua River and the flood plains of Ba River.

A flood alert remains in force for all low-lying flood-prone areas adjacent to and downstream of Nadi River, Nawaka River and Tuva River in Nadroga.

Please note, flooding can occur in flood-prone, low-lying informal settlements and communities, businesses and Irish crossings, leading to traffic disruptions.
